IT’S HARD to believe the week is over! Tomorrow, Thespians will return home with new knowledge, new friends, and a lifetime of memories.

Saturday offered a showcase for ITF’s talented student writers, with staged readings of this year’s Thespian Musicalworks and Thespian Playworks finalists and a screening of the Thespian Filmworks short movie, created at ITF. It also saw the premiere of the brand-new musical Dreamland by Nathan Tysen and Chris Miller, authors of Tuck Everlasting.

The Chapter Select and Freestyle Theatre programs wrapped up with performances by troupes from Wisconsin, California, West Virginia, Colorado, Northern Mariana Islands, Texas, and Georgia. And the final main stage journeys featured excursions to Neverland with the Maryland Thespians of Jemicy School in Peter and the Starcatcher and to Mt. Olympus (via a 1980s roller disco) with Arab (Ala.) High School’s Xanadu.

The 2020 International Thespian Festival will return to its original home at Indiana University Bloomington. We hope to see many of you there next year.
